**Why a Black Hole Always Forms Without a Singularity**

The study of black hole physics based on a mathematical model that excludes the rotation of the progenitor star leads to a fundamental error. Rotation is an intrinsic parameter of any stellar progenitor, as non‑rotating objects do not exist in the Universe. Even if a red supergiant were non‑rotating prior to collapse, its inherent physical asymmetry would inevitably induce rotation upon compression by a factor of several hundred thousand. This follows directly from the law of conservation of angular momentum. During the formation stage, black holes develop rotation frequencies on the order of several tens of kilohertz (revolutions per second). The rise of matter to the surface along the radius leads to a decrease in the number of revolutions to the actual observed values.

The rotation frequency of a stable black hole is constrained by the linear velocity at its equator, which cannot exceed the speed of light.

The next critical phase in black hole formation is the onset of centrifugal forces, which prevent the collapsing matter from concentrating at the centre of the shrinking sphere. Once the density of the black hole’s interior reaches nuclear density, the object stabilises its rotational parameters and physical diameter, entering a steady gyroscopic state. In this gyroscopic regime, the black hole adjusts its diameter and spin rate in response to external mass accretion. Slow, continuous accretion leads to a smooth, adiabatic readjustment of the rotational parameters. In contrast, the ingestion of a large amount of matter—such as during a merger with another black hole or a neutron star—results in the formation of a substantial accretion disk and the generation of a characteristic ringdown signal in the gravitational waveform. This ringdown originates from oscillations of the physical shell diameter of the black hole as it settles into a new equilibrium characterised by updated values of mass, diameter, and rotational frequency.

A detailed treatment of black hole mergers will be presented in Section 6.
